![]() The key here is consistency between all containers, and their previous installs. Install omv-extras and the symlinks pluginĬreate my symlinks between my shared folders, and their symlink locations. So the basic steps I take on a clean install. I can keep my paths consistent really no matter what UUID my drives are.įinally, just making regular backups of my container folder (which I do). and all those containers start, you're going to get a bunch of paths created that no longer exist. that can cause a problem, because then when you restart docker. Probably the most important thing, is making sure your paths are consistent. ![]() but it has to have a /data folder mapped to make it work correctly) (I'm pretty sure there is a compose floating around here for portainer, if not I'll post one in the morning. So you really need to install Portainer with docker-compose (or run) vs using the button in OMV-extras to accomplish this. ![]() The main thing with it, is portainer needs a consistent folder on where to store it's configuration. If i reinstall omv and use the same directory path and the config folder is there will everything work? It would already be done.Īnd all my stack's are on a seperate drive. If I hadn't had to work tonight and tomorrow night (gotta sleep sometime). Tomorrow I'll get Nextcloud, Piwigo, and everything else setup locally then probably reverse proxy everything through my domain Monday morning. so no time like the present.īefore I left, I got swag set up, vaultwarden so I could try that, and transmission setup and going through my VPN. but there were some changes I wanted to implement in a few containers anyway that I hadn't got around to. Truth is I had them all my stacks backed up. I'm sure with your skills and knowledge you'll get everything back. probably just boot to a thumb drive and clone it while it's not running to make sure i get a clean clone. one of my next missions is to clone my drive to both of the sdd's i have left.
